Strange Man

In Rockstar's "Red Dead Redemption" the stranger mission for the "Strange Man" sets you up with a man who can't remember his name, and says that he is an accountant...in a way.
People say he is God because he refers to the 10 commandments (even though the only one really is 'Thou shall not commit adultery, even then, he doesn't tell John Marston to not cheat on his wife, only to help with his decision)

People say he is a ghost (of John's father) because he says he wishes his son was like him, and that there are pictures of someone who looks like the Strange Man in Marston's house in Beecher's Hope.

People say that he is Death because John Marston shots the man 3 times near the spot where he would be buried, 3 shots for John Marston, Abigail Marston, and Uncle's deaths.

My opinion, I think he is a Magician with a cheating friend and a punk son who read John's mind

EDIT 2: I need to get a life. I've managed to beat Red Dead Redemption 100%...four times...in 6 days...using only a Cattleman Revolver on the last play through O.O
